Checking the engine oil level
-
Make sure that the vehicle is on the ground level.
-
Start the engine and allow it to reach the operating temperature.
-
Turn the engine off and wait for the oil to return to the pan.
-
Pull the dipstick, wipe it clean, and re-insert it.
-
Check the level. The level should be between F and L.
-
If it is near L, add oil to bring it to the level F.
-
Do not overfill and use the Hyundai engine oil.
Checking the brake fluid level
-
Make sure that the vehicle is on the ground level.
-
The fluid level should be between the MAX and the MIN of the reservoir.
-
Clean the area around the cap before you remove the reservoir cap and add the brake fluid to prevent the contamination.
-
If the level is low, add the fluid to reach the MAX level.
-
The level will then fall within the accumulated mileage associated with the brake linings wear.
-
If the fluid is too low, get it checked by a dealer.

Checking the engine coolant level

-
Don't remove the radiator cap while the engine is hot or operating.
-
The coolant level shall be filled between the F and the L level on the reservoir.
-
If the coolant is low, add enough coolant to provide adequate protection against corrosion and freezing. Bring the level to F but without overfilling it.
-
If you require a frequent coolant refill, see a dealer for an inspection.
Checking the power steering fluid level
-
Make sure that the vehicle is on the ground level.
-
The fluid level should be between the MAX and the MIN of the reservoir.
-
If the level is low, add more fluid till you reach the MAX level.
-
Use specified power steering fluid while filling.
-
In case if your power steering system is requiring a frequent fluid refill, get the vehicle inspected by an authorized dealer.

Checking the washer fluid level
-
The reservoir is translucent, and it will let you check the level through a visual inspection.
-
Check the fluid level and if needed, add more.
-
Plain water can be used in case if washing fluid is not available.
-
Use a washer solvent with antifreeze technology in a cold climate to prevent freezing.
-
Do not use a radiator coolant or an antifreeze in the reservoir.
Battery Care
-
Keep the battery mounted for the best service.
-
Keep the battery clean and dry.
-
Keep the terminals and the connections clean, dry, and coated with terminal grease or petroleum jelly.
-
Rinse any leaked electrolyte from the battery with a baking soda or a solution of water.
-
If the vehicle is not being used for an extended duration, you can disconnect the battery cables.

Tire Rotation

-
To equalize the tread, it is recommended to rotate the tires every 10,000 Km or when you notice irregular wear.
-
Check the tires for the correct balance.
-
When the tires are rotated, check for damage or uneven wear.
-
Abnormal wear is usually associated with improper alignment, incorrect pressure, out of balance wheels, cornering or braking.
-
Look for bulges or bumps on the sides or on the tread.
-
Replace the tire if the tire is damaged or if the cord/fabric is visible.
-
After the rotation, bring the tire pressures to a specification.
-
Check the tightness of the lug nuts.
Engine compartment panel fuse replacement
-
Turn the ignition switch and other switches, off
-
Open the fuse panel cover and pull the fuse out.
-
Use the removal tool available in the fuse panel of the engine compartment.
-
Check the fuse and replace it if it's blown
-
Push the new fuse and make sure if it is tightly fit. If it is loose, consult an authorized dealer.
-
After checking the fuse box, install the cover. If not, there is a possibility for electricity failures that result in water leakage.
-
If any of the lights, accessories, or controls doesn't work, check the circuit fuse, either the one in the panel bolster or the one in the engine compartment.
-
If the electrical system does not work, check the driver's fuse panel. Replace a blown fuse that has the same rating.

Inner panel fuse replacement

-
Turn the ignition switch and other switches, off
-
Open the fuse panel cover and pull the fuse out.
-
Use the removal tool available in the fuse panel of the engine compartment.
-
Check the fuse and replace it if it's blown
-
Push the new fuse and make sure if it is tightly fit. If it is loose, consult an authorized dealer.
-
If the headlights or other components do not work, but the fuses are, check the fuse block to replace it.
-
If the replacement fuse also blows, it indicates an electrical problem, which is why you consult an authorized dealer.
Exterior Care
-
Wash the car at least once in a month
-
While washing, pay extra attention to dirt removal, salt removal, or removal of foreign particles.
-
Use a car washing shampoo for washing the vehicle.
-
Do not use hot water, strong soap, or chemical detergents for washing.
-
Don't wash the engine compartment with a water jet as it will cause the failure of electrical components.

Interior Care
-
Prevent cosmetic oil or perfume from contacting the dashboard. If there is contact, wipe it off immediately.
-
Remove the loose dirt/dust from the upholstery at regular intervals with a vacuum cleaner.
-
If the interior glass is fogged due to the deposition of oil, wax, or grease, clean it using a glass cleaner.
-
If the carpet is wet, take it and dry it. Leaving it for long might corrode the floor and also create a musty smell.
Jacking instructions
-
The jack is only provided for emergency tire changing.
-
To prevent the rattling of the jack during the motion, you should store it.
-
Follow the instructions to reduce the possibility of personal injury.

To store the spare tire
-
Lay the spare tire on the ground with the valve facing up.
-
Place the wheel under and install the retainer through the center.
-
Turn the brace clockwise until you hear a click.

Jack and tools
-
Find the jack, the wheel braceare and the jack handle in the luggage compartment
-
Pull the luggage box cover to reach the equipment.
Jack and tools

-
Park the vehicle on a level surface and apply the brake.
-
Shift the lever to the Reverse gear.
-
Activate the flasher that warns hazards.
-
Remove the jack, the wheel brace, and the jack handle. Spare the tire from the vehicle.
-
Block both the front and the rear part of the wheel, which are diagonally opposite to the jack.
-
Loosen the wheel nuts by turning them counterclockwise, one at a time.
-
Do not remove the nuts until the tire is raised off the ground.
-
Place the jack at a jacking position, which is close to the tire that you're changing.
-
Place the jack at a designated location where the plates are welded to the frame with a raised dot and two tabs, in index with the jack.
-
Insert the handle into the jack snd start turning it clockwise to raise the vehicle until the tire is completely off the ground.
-
The measure of the clear space should be around 1.2 inches (30mm).
-
Before removing the nuts, assure that the vehicle is stable with no chance of slippage.
-
Loosen the nuts and remove them with the fingers. Slide the wheel away from the studs and lay the tire flat so that it won't run away.
